Our annual pilgrimage to the Anglican Shrine of Our Lady is to be from Tuesday 19th to Friday 22nd May 2020, which will include celebration of The Ascension of the
Lord on the Thursday. The change from our usual attendance for Corpus Christi is because this year it clashes with our Patronal.
The pilgrimage will be led by Fr John and will incorporate all the usual daily midweek opportunities for worship and prayer as well as the Procession of Our Lady, Sprinkling at the Well, and Stations of the Cross.
The days are very busy but there is also plenty of time to relax and enjoy the gardens and local amenities. The Refectory provides a high standard of food and there will be the option of going either full or half board. Don’t forget that other
amenities such as mobility scooter hire are available.
As ever, the cost per person will depend
on the number of pilgrims which affects the ‘per-capita’ cost of the coach. Although the Shrine Hospitality fees have marginally increased this year it always works out as good value. So everyone is encouraged to not only come, but also to spread
the word. It would aid cost projections if worshippers interested in obtaining further details would please enter their names on the form at the back of the Church.
Those of you who have been before will know that the experience of a visit to ‘England’s Nazareth’ is wonderfully spiritually uplifting. Any of our congregation who have
not been before might like to visit the website https://www.walsinghamanglican.org.uk/ where they will find all the information pertaining to the Shrine.
